How will this affect me as an app user?

Depending on your network company, there may be some gaps in data reporting. This change affects all of Sweden, and network companies have thousands of meters that need to be reconfigured before they can send data to us again. This may mean that the usual 12-day period could be exceeded, but in this case, we cannot do anything other than wait for the network company to complete the necessary adjustments for this transition.

We apologize if you happen to be one of the customers who miss their data for longer than 12 days, but we ask for your patience as the data is restored to the app.

Does the authorization need to be renewed?

No, the authorizations signed in the app do not need to be signed again! As a customer, you do not need to do anything other than wait for the data to be restored in the app.

Why 15-minute settlement?

  1. More accurate readings: With more frequent readings, electricity costs can be fairer as they better reflect actual consumption.

  2. Flexibility: Consumers can better adjust their usage according to price variations, potentially leading to economic savings.

  3. More efficient grid: Faster settlement intervals can help balance the grid more effectively, which is important for the integration of renewable energy and the stability of the electricity system.

Do I need to change anything on my meter?

Many with hourly readings today already have meters that can be automatically reconfigured to 15-minute readings on November 1st by the network company. If you are unsure about the type of meter you have, you can find this information in your agreement with your network company, or alternatively, contact them for an answer. As an electricity retailer, we do not handle the meter and cannot see what type of meter you have.

How will this affect my electricity agreement?

This change will not affect your electricity agreement, which will still be based on hourly rates and will not impact you as a customer. There is a plan to start with quarter-hour-based prices sometime in 2024. More information about any changes to the agreements will be sent out later!
