What is an EAN code?

An EAN code is a unique 18-digit number that identifies your specific residence. You can think of it as your home's "personal number" in the electricity grid. It always starts with 735 999.

How to Find Your EAN code?

You can find your EAN code on your electricity bill or your electricity meter. You can also contact your landlord, the previous owner of your home, or ask your electricity network company.

Why Do I Need My EAN code?

When you want to sign up for an electricity contract, you need to know your unique EAN code. It helps the electricity company identify which home the contract is for.

Moving? 📦

When you move to a new home and need to take over an EAN code, it can sometimes be tricky to get hold of it before you move. Reach out to the person who lived there before you or call the property owner and ask.

When you change homes, you need to sign a new electricity network contract. When you do, you will receive your new EAN code from your new electricity network company. If you are moving to an apartment, you need to know your apartment number before contacting the electricity network company so they can find your EAN code.
