When you sign up for the electricity contract through our app or website, you authorize Greenely to contact your current electricity company and terminate your existing contract. However, this is a process that can take time. First, the power of attorney is sent to your electricity network company, when they have answered the power of attorney, it is sent on to your electricity supplier. There are no regulations regarding how quickly neither the network nor the electricity companies have to handle a power of attorney request.
You can always speed up the process by contacting your electricity supplier and checking the binding and cancellation period as well as the facility ID (starts with 735999 and can be found on your electricity bill). In order for us to arrange it, you need to send the necessary information to us at support. After that, we can start the agreement manually!
