The Pixii battery is insulated and has active heat generation, so it can be installed both indoors and outdoors. However, installing it indoors is recommended to maintain the highest possible performance year-round. When the fans in Pixii Home are active, the noise level can reach up to 50dB, so we recommend installing it in an isolated area if possible.

It should also be placed on a solid surface that doesn't move. Asphalt, concrete, and wood are all suitable surfaces. As with all electronics, it is not recommended to install it in a south-facing location with direct sunlight exposure. Consult with your installer to determine the best placement for your situation.
